The vote to leave the EU has thrown a big question mark over our futures. We are living in a period of time that will come to be known as historic, and where no one is exactly sure what to expect next. Without putting too fine a point on it, it feels somewhat tumultuous. Whilst we as a nation have voted on our future, it is left to the policy-makers within government to decide who best to lead our country and how best to leave the EU. The worries and opportunities that may arise from leaving are largely still unknown. In our industry, this is no exception.
What do we know?
We know that currently we build stands across Europe, with the help of European contractors employed by us to deliver the stands we have created.
We know that we enjoy working with European companies and having the opportunity to deliver stands for these clients.
We know that we currently source materials from across Europe.
We know that we want to continue sharing knowledge and ideas with our European clients.
What don’t we know?
We don’t know what decisions will be made by our government over access to the single market and the free movement of labour across Europe and how this could impact us.
We don’t know what exactly will have an impact upon our company, and the industry as a whole.
Where do we go from here?
All we can continue to do is deliver the best service possible to our clients. We can’t be sure what the future holds in terms of decisions over the EU and the part we have to play in this. But what we can be sure of is that we remain devoted to the industry and to remain committed to growing relationships with clients both within the UK and abroad.
